Ambassador to Moscow participates in OIC Culture Ministers’ Congress in Kazan

Moscow, May 16 (BNA): Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, participated in the Congress of Ministers of Culture of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hosted in Tatarstan, Russia. The conference was chaired by Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.


 

During the opening session, held under the theme “Dialogue of Cultures: The Basis for Preserving Identity and Diversity in a Multipolar World”, the Ambassador delivered a statement highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to promote a culture of dialogue, coexistence, and tolerance among cultures, religions, and peoples.


 

He highlighted key national initiatives such as the Bahrain Declaration, aimed at reinforcing coexistence as a foundation for global peace; the establishment of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance in 2018 to implement the royal vision; and the adoption by the UN General Assembly of Bahrain’s proposal to designate January 28 as the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.


 

The meeting was attended by several Ministers of Culture, representatives from the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and member states.
