Shura Council Chairman highlights Bahrain’s role in promoting peace, cultural dialogue

Manama, May 20 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to advancing global peace and sustainable development through initiatives that promote rapprochement and intercultural dialogue, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Marking the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, observed annually on May 21, the Chairman described Bahrain as a leading model of cultural inclusivity and respect, underpinned by national values and the cohesive fabric of Bahraini society. He noted that these principles are reinforced by the National Action Charter and the Constitution, which form the foundation of the Kingdom’s development approach.
The Chairman also commended the government’s efforts in promoting human values and implementing programmes that support cultural and intellectual diversity. He commended the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in supporting Bahrain’s achievements across all sectors.
He expressed pride in Bahrain’s international standing in championing coexistence and human tolerance, attributing this to His Majesty’s leadership in fostering dialogue and global partnerships.
The Chairman highlighted Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilisational heritage, noting its continued commitment to supporting cultural diversity, human fraternity, and international cooperation.
