Ombudswoman receives Serbian Ambassador

Manama, May 20 (BNA): Ombudswoman Ghada Hameed Habeeb received Tatjana Garčević, Ambassador of Serbia to Bahrain.

The meeting provided an overview of the office’s mandate, its specialised role in serving the public, and its contribution to promoting respect for human rights within the criminal justice system.

The meeting also covered the Ombudsman Office’s international cooperation activities, particularly its constructive engagement with diplomatic missions in Bahrain to explore areas of collaboration in training, capacity-building, and knowledge exchange.

The Ombudswoman expressed hope for strengthened cooperation between the two countries.
