Finance Ministry Undersecretary leads Bahrain delegation to Islamic Development Bank meetings in Algeria

Algiers, May 22 (BNA): Yusuf Abdulla Alhumood, Undersecretary of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the 2025 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, held in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria from May 19 to 22 under the theme "Diversifying Economies, Enriching Lives."
The meetings were attended by Ministers of Finance and Economy from Islamic countries, as well as representatives from regional and international organisations and financial and economic experts.
The agenda included discussions on enhancing joint cooperation to support development and prosperity across economic sectors. Key topics included a review of the IsDB Group’s financial performance and that of its affiliated institutions, the approval of the IsDB Group’s new ten-year strategic framework (2026–2035), and the presentation of the Group’s 2024 performance report.
Participants also reviewed governance and regulatory reform initiatives aimed at strengthening the Group’s institutional effectiveness.
On the sidelines, the Undersecretary participated in the Governors’ Roundtable, which addressed development challenges, the need for financial and economic reforms, and the importance of joint efforts to advance shared goals among member states.
