Syrian Justice Minister receives Bahraini Ambassador

Damascus, May 22 (BNA): Dr. Mazhar Abdul Rahman Al Wais, Minister of Justice of the Syrian Arab Republic, received Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Syrian Arab Republic.

The meeting discussed means to enhance judicial cooperation between Bahrain and Syria. The minister underlined the importance of building on Bahrain’s experience in developing legislative and judicial frameworks, activating existing agreements, and promoting the exchange of expertise in support of shared interests.

Ambassador Sayyar congratulated Dr. Al Wais on assuming his duties in the Syrian transitional government and wished him success. He also emphasised the importance of advancing relations and fostering cooperation to serve common goals.

The meeting also reviewed the strong ties between the two countries and discussed opportunities to expand collaboration in the judicial field and address issues of shared interest.
