Chief of Public Security attends graduation ceremony

Manama, May 22 (BNA): Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, attended the graduation ceremony of the Rapid Intervention and Building Breach course, held in cooperation with the French Interior Ministry. The course was attended by officers and personnel from the Special Security Force and the Protocol and VIP Protection Directorate.


 

The ceremony was also attended by Major General Waleed Al Shamsi, Commander of the Special Security Force, and Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Harram, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training.


 

The Chief of Public Security commended the directives of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Interior Minister, to strengthen the efficiency and readiness of security personnel and his dedication to developing the security training system in line with the latest international standards. He emphasised that such efforts contribute to the delivery of high quality security services that reinforce public confidence and uphold the core mission of law enforcement.


 

He highlighted the importance of this specialised course in enhancing the tactical capabilities of Ministry of Interior personnel. The programme aimed to improve field readiness by equipping participants with the skills required to carry out rapid and effective interventions against armed groups, practice tactical manoeuvres in open and high risk environments, and neutralise threats in close quarters while safeguarding property. He noted that the course demonstrated a high level of integration among the participating units through the use of shared tactics and techniques that support collective performance and operational cooperation.


 

Lieutenant General Al Hassan expressed his appreciation to the French Interior Ministry for its cooperation in organising such training courses and looked forward to further joint programmes and cooperation with French police and security forces. He also thanked the organisers of the course for their commitment and efforts to build capacity and raise performance, which contributes to improving the effectiveness of security personnel.


 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Chief of Public Security honoured the course participants and commended their high level of professionalism and discipline, which reflects their commitment to advancing operational readiness and performance. He wished them continued success in their service to national security.
