HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah attends opening of DTAC 2025
Manama, May 23 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the opening of the District 20 Toastmasters Annual Conference (DTAC 2025), held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).
The conference is organised in collaboration with the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Iraq under the theme “Echoes of Excellence.”
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a short film highlighting the history and development of Toastmasters in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad emphasised that hosting the annual Toastmasters conference reflects Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing and empowering youth in leadership, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness wished all participants success in the conference.
Toastmaster Yunus Abdulaal, DTAC 2025 Conference Chair, delivered remarks highlighting Bahrain’s continued support for leadership development. He noted that this year’s edition offers targeted educational sessions and workshops designed to support Bahraini and Arab youth in enhancing their public speaking and leadership skills in both Arabic and English. He added that the event features international speech champions and a variety of specialised training programmes.
Toastmaster Yasser Al Qashar, District 20 Director, emphasised Bahrain’s strong support for youth development and the importance of providing educational opportunities that foster leadership and communication skills. He highlighted the value of investing in national talent and supporting initiatives that promote innovation and creativity across various sectors.
Following the speeches, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad honoured the conference’s partners and sponsors, as well as members of the organising committee. A commemorative gift was also presented to His Highness on this occasion.
DTAC 2025 is the largest event on the Toastmasters calendar. It brings together public speaking champions and members from across the region to compete and showcase their talents in Arabic and English. The conference runs from May 22 to 24 with the participation of over 2,000 members representing 115 bilingual clubs.
