During HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Malaysia, Bahrain signs MoU with Malaysia on enhancing industrial zones

Kuala Lumpur, May 27 (BNA): In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and as part of his official visit to Malaysia, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of Malaysia on cooperation in planning, developing, and enhancing industrial zones.

 

The MoU was signed by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Tengku Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia.

 

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted the strong longstanding ties between Bahrain and Malaysia. He noted the steady growth in cooperation, especially in finance and the economy, which supports sustainable economic development for both countries and their peoples.

 

He also highlighted the shared commitment to further developing these relations by expanding opportunities for joint cooperation, especially in the field of industrial development, to serve common goals and mutual interests.

 

The MoU aims to boost cooperation between Bahrain and Malaysia in the planning and development of industrial zones, through the exchange of technical expertise, best practices, and knowledge in sustainability and innovation. It also supports initiatives to attract high-quality joint investments and contribute to the growth of promising sectors in line with both countries’ development visions.
