Foreign Undersecretary for Political Affairs participates in OIC 51st session of Foreign Ministers Council

Ankara, June 22 (BNA): Ambassador Khaled Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Istanbul on June 21-22, under the theme "The OIC in a Changing World."


 

Ambassador Al Jalahma highlighted Bahrain’s strong commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthening collective Islamic action and deepening cooperation among member states.


 

He emphasised that unity and collaboration are essential to safeguarding shared interests and achieving security, stability, and prosperity across the Islamic world.


 

The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s support for the principles and goals of the OIC, particularly the promotion of solidarity among its members and the defense of Islamic causes, with the Palestinian issue remaining a top priority.


 

Furthermore, Ambassador Al Jalahma conveyed the deep concern of the Kingdom of Bahrain over the escalating military tensions in the region. He stressed the imperative of resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy as the most effective path to preserving regional and international peace.
