Lebanese President commends Bahrain’s support for Lebanon

Manama, July 22 (BNA): His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, commended Bahrain’s support for Lebanon’s security, unity, and stability during a meeting with editors-in-chief of local newspapers, held as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, HE the President commended the honourable positions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He praised Bahrain’s commitment to supporting its Arab partners and its initiatives aimed at strengthening joint Arab action and preserving Arab unity.
HE the President also expressed his appreciation to HM the King for the generous hospitality, commending His Majesty’s prominent role in reinforcing regional security and stability in the region, and His Majesty’s continuous efforts to bridge views and promote joint Arab cooperation.
HE the President further expressed his appreciation for the sincere sentiments that HM the King and the people of Bahrain hold toward Lebanon and its people, which reflect the strength and depth of relations between the two countries.
HE President Aoun affirmed that the Lebanese people hold deep appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people and will always remember the Kingdom’s noble and supportive stances during times of crises. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued advancement, prosperity, and growth under the leadership of HM the King.
HE the President also highlighted the steady growth of Bahrain-Lebanon relations, reflecting the strong cooperation between the two countries and their peoples, as well as their joint coordination on various matters.
Furthermore, HE the Lebanese President also addressed current regional developments, with a focus on the situation in Lebanon. He said that Lebanon shares the Kingdom of Bahrain’s noble aims of promoting peace, harmony, and tolerance, and supports Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to champion just Arab causes.
HE the President also congratulated Bahrain on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, expressing his confidence that Bahrain, under the leadership of HM the King, will contribute effectively and responsibly to enhancing international peace and security and will serve as a wise Arab voice defending just causes in international forums.
