Shura Chairman receives outgoing US Ambassador

Manama, Aug. 3 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, met with Steven C. Bondy, the outgoing US Ambassador to Bahrain.
Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, was present.
The chairman expressed his best wishes to the ambassador in his future endeavours.
He affirmed that the longstanding ties between the Kingdom and the US continue to grow stronger through fruitful partnerships, close cooperation, and ongoing coordination that serve mutual interests.
Al Saleh praised the advanced level of Bahraini–US relations and the shared achievements across various development sectors supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Donald Trump of the US.
He commended the ambassador’s diplomatic efforts and his contributions to strengthening bilateral ties, noting the deep-rooted historical foundation and strategic partnership that unite both nations.
The chairman also reiterated the Shura Council’s commitment to enhancing engagement with the US Senate and House of Representatives, and to supporting parliamentary cooperation.
For his part, Ambassador Bondy expressed pride in Bahrain’s progress across various sectors, describing his diplomatic mission in the Kingdom as a meaningful opportunity to experience its values of coexistence and tolerance.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts between the two countries to achieve common goals, expand cooperation, and activate agreements and memoranda of understanding to further promote development and prosperity.
