The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other international organisations in Geneva; Hichem Bayoudh, Permanent Observer of the League of Arab States to the United Nations Office at Geneva; David Fernández, Permanent Observer of the University for Peace to the United Nations Office in Geneva; a number of Arab ambassadors accredited in Geneva; and a team from UPEACE.

Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla said the cooperation comes within the framework of enhancing partnerships between the Arab League and international academic institutions, enabling Arab professionals to benefit from the University for Peace and United Nations programmes, particularly in multilateral relations, in support of development and peacebuilding efforts and to enhance Arab participation in international educational and research frameworks.
