Youth Minister receives Rubu’ Qarn delegation

Manama, Aug. 10 (BNA): Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Youth Affairs Minister, received a delegation from Rubu’ Qarn (RQ) for Creating Leaders and Innovators in Sharjah.
The delegation is visiting Bahrain as part of a cultural youth exchange programme organised by Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah. The delegation included members of the Sharjah Youth Parliament in its ninth session (2025–2026).
The Minister underscored the strong and deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, noting that these ties continue to advance cooperation, particularly in youth affairs, which are witnessing innovative and sustainable development.
She emphasised that such progress reflects the shared vision of both leaderships to empower youth, enhance their role in national development, and invest in their capabilities for a prosperous future.
Minister Tawfiqi highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to host Emirati youth delegations, providing opportunities for meaningful exchange with Bahraini youth to share experiences, discuss shared visions, and build a promising future across sectors.
The Minister also outlined Bahrain’s leading youth initiatives, including the flagship Youth City 2030 programme, which has equipped generations of youth with skills and knowledge to enter the job market and achieve success in various domains.
During the meeting, the Minister was briefed on Rubu’ Qarn’s programmes and activities, and listened to participating Sharjah Youth Shura Council members as they shared their experiences, takeaways, and impressions of Youth City 2030.
On behalf of the delegation, Hanan Al Mahmoud, Board Member of Rubu’ Qarn, Vice Chairperson of Sharjah Women’s Sports, and head of the delegation, commended Bahrain’s leadership in advancing youth work and fostering cooperation with the UAE to empower young people.
She underscored the delegation’s keen interest in learning from Bahrain’s youth development experience, particularly the Youth City 2030 programme, which she described as a leading regional model for preparing youth to shape the future.
