Saudi Arabia Wins Three Awards at International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics

Riyadh, August 21, 2025, SPA -- Saudi students won three awards at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA 2025), held in Mumbai, India, with nearly 300 participants from 64 countries.
The Kingdom was represented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Saudi Space Agency.
With this achievement, Saudi Arabia’s total in the competition, in which it has participated for the second consecutive year, has reached six awards: one silver medal, three bronze medals, and two certificates of merit.
