Central Tree Nursery in DPRK Produces Lots of Saplings

 Pyongyang, August 24 (KCNA) -- The Central Tree Nursery of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection in the DPRK is concentrating efforts to producing saplings needed for autumn tree planting.
Researchers are displaying high responsibility in trial cultivation and survey work for acclimatizing saplings of good species.
All the employees are abiding by the requirements of technical rules according to the growth stage of saplings while properly manuring and cultivating them.
They are also conducting the work for coping with disastrous abnormal weather conditions in a foresighted way while properly managing temperature and humidity and monitoring harmful insects to prevent the damage from them.
Thanks to their efforts, millions of saplings including pine-nut tree and white birch have been fully grown for autumn tree planting.
Meanwhile, successes have been made in research on herbicide based on domestic raw materials and its introduction. -0-
