Gaming and Tech Leaders Discuss Sector's Future at Riyadh's NGSC 2025

   Riyadh, August 24, 2025, SPA -- Riyadh is hosting the New Global Sport Conference (NGSC 2025), organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, coinciding with the conclusion of the Esports World Cup. Participants explored advancements in gaming, esports, and sports across several sessions focused on investment, technology, tourism, intellectual property, and talent empowerment, highlighting the Kingdom's influential role in this sector.
   The opening session discussed Saudi Vision 2030's impact on establishing the Kingdom as a global esports hub. Following this, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot outlined the company's legacy and emphasized the Kingdom's attractiveness for investment and creativity.
   Deputy Representative of the UNICEF Gulf Area Office Jumana Haj Ahmad noted that partnerships with international institutions enhance the gaming industry's social impact. CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) Rawan AlButairi stated that audiences are now active participants in esports, with the federation promoting this engagement.
   Additional insights came from leaders of major companies, including Electronic Arts, Krafton, Ubisoft, and Tencent. Head of Esports at Electronic Arts Monica Dinsmore marked the Kingdom's significance as a hub for international gaming, emphasizing its investment-friendly environment.
   CEO of Esports World Cup Foundation Ralf Reichert discussed national identity as soft power, with Saudi Arabia serving as a model for other nations. The day concluded with discussions on intellectual property, where CEO of Twitch Dan Clancy stressed its strategic importance in competition, and President and Chief Operating Officer at SEGA Shuji Utsumi emphasized protecting innovation for sustainability.
