Obama family watches Wondergirls' U.S. performance

SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- U.S. first lady Michelle Obama watched a U.S. debut
performance by South Korean female pop group the Wondergirls with her two
daughters, the group's Korean agent said Tuesday.
The band gave their first official performance in the United States as the
opening act for American Idol group the Jonas Brothers in Washington D.C. Monday
night. The Wondergirls sang English versions of "Nobody" and "Tell me," their two
big hits here, during the concert.
"Wow, just found out Michelle Obama and their two daughters watched Wondergirls
perform tonight! The girls put on their best show," Park Jin-young, head of
Korea's JYP Entertainment, wrote on Twitter, the micro-blogging site.
U.S. President Barack Obama's two daughters, Malia and Sasha, are both known fans
of the Jonas Brothers.
Having recently signed a contract with the Jonas Group and Hollywood's Creative
Artists Agency, the Wondergirls will release an album in the U.S. this fall which
will include English versions of several of their hits and a track written and
composed by the Jonas Brothers.
The Wondergirls will be touring with the brothers through Portland, Los Angeles
and Atlanta.
