South Hwanghae Province Introduces Sci-tech Successes

Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the development of regional economy by dint of science and technology, according to Rodong Sinmun.
Officials of the province went to scientific research institutes and universities and urged their teachers and researchers to conduct a brisk brainstorming campaign, regarding the sci-tech problems arising in reality as their research seeds.
Production processes of various goods including fittings, paint, sanitary ware and plastic tube have been built to lay material and technical foundations for stepping up regional construction thanks to the thinking and efforts of scientists and researchers in the province to solve sci-tech problems.
The building of the Hwangnam Steel Works with the integrated iron- and steel-making process makes it possible to supply iron and steel for regional construction by the province itself.
Successes were made in scientific researches to improve the quality of goods being produced at regional-industry factories.
Teachers of Hwangnam College of Technology have conducted scientific researches to produce materials needed for refining oil with raw materials abundant in the province. And they are providing a sci-tech guarantee for further improving the quality of essential consumer goods with essential oil. -0-
