As part of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s visit to Egypt, Bahraini business delegation visits Nasr City Public Free Zone

Cairo, Sep. 3 (BNA):  As part of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, a Bahraini delegation comprising senior officials and private sector representatives visited the Nasr City Public Free Zone and its facilities. 

The visit to the Free Zone aimed to further strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt, building on the strong and longstanding trade relations between the two countries, which have significantly contributed to increasing trade volumes to exceptional levels.

The tour was organised by Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), in collaboration with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

The delegation explored the manufacturing capabilities of a leading player within the global automotive supply chain, with a site visit to LEONI Egypt, a manufacturer of wiring harnesses and power cables.  Bahrain's delegation showcased the Kingdom’s investment environment, positioning Bahrain as a premier destination for regional and international companies.

Nasr City Public Free Zone was established in 1973 and is one of Egypt’s largest and oldest free zones.
