Kyrgyzstan’s economic growth amounts to 11.7% in 7 months

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. According to the results of 7 months of the current year, economic growth amounted to 11.7%, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev told live on radio.
He said that in recent years, the economy of Kyrgyzstan has demonstrated stable indicators. The average weighted growth of the economy is around 9%. According to the results of 7 months of the current year, economic growth amounted to 11.7%, and the GDP volume has already reached 860 billion soms. Overall, the figures are not bad. If we take the figures for the same period last year, the growth was 8%.
"In recent years, our industrial production has increased its output and is showing good results. According to the results of seven months, it showed a result of 11.4%. The construction sector is showing serious figures. The record growth was almost 38%, which is certainly connected with the President's "Menin Uyum" program, the development of urban infrastructure. I think our citizens see the dynamics of construction, reconstruction and restoration work not only locally, but throughout the country.
Investments in equity capital for 7 months exceeded about 141 billion soms. The increase was about 33.4%. These are very serious and colossal figures. Part of the investments are provided by internal sources. Their growth was as much as 52%. This indicates that business and the population believe in our economy and invest in development. I think that the economic environment today is quite favorable. Real incomes of the population are growing. In addition, we see that consumption is growing, which is certainly a driver of increasing domestic demand," Amangeldiev said.
He emphasized that the service sector occupies a key place in the country's economy. The Kyrgyz Republic's economy is becoming a service economy due to an increase in retail trade by about 23%. Transport is showing good results, passenger transportation has increased by 9%. Significant growth is observed in the service sector: hotels, restaurants - 29%. "This is a very serious indicator. I think this is due to the fact that our tourism has revived. As you know, the President paid special attention to the quality of services. The Presidential Property Management Department has been instructed to reconstruct all health resorts in the country, and the head of state has also set the task of monitoring and studying new deposits where there are sources of minerals, so that we can build new health resorts there," he said.
