Foreign minister arrives in Cairo for high-level talks

Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Cairo for a one-day official visit aimed at holding talks with senior Egyptian leaders.
Araghchi, heading a diplomatic delegation, is scheduled to meet separately with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. The discussions will cover bilateral relations as well as key regional and international developments.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei had earlier announced that Araghchi’s regional tour includes stops in both Egypt and Tunisia.
He added that during his stay in Cairo, the foreign minister would also meet with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to finalize negotiations on a new framework for Iran-IAEA cooperation.
