Somali Red Crescent President Praises KSrelief Support for Environmental Sanitation Project in Somalia

   Riyadh, September 11, 2025, SPA -- President of the Somali Red Crescent Society Yusuf Hassan praised the support provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to finance a project supporting the water and environmental sanitation sector in displacement camps across five key regions in Somalia: Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, Galkayo, and Bosaso.
   He stressed that this project, which includes the construction of 750 sanitation facilities and is being implemented steadily, represents a leap in efforts to improve environmental sanitation and curb the spread of diseases linked to inadequate water services, particularly in camps hosting thousands of families affected by conflict and drought.
   Hassan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to KSrelief for its continuous support of humanitarian projects in the Arab and Islamic world, and for its efforts in serving displaced people and meeting their humanitarian needs.
