Over 400 UAWK Organizations in DPRK Win Title of Socialist Patriotic Forest

Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Amid high display of patriotic devotion among officials and agricultural workers of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK), more than 400 units have won the title of the Socialist Patriotic Forest.
The UAWK organizations in Jagang Province conducted forest restoration through a mass movement. In the course, 100-odd units won the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest.
The primary UAWK organizations in Pongchon, Sinchon and Kwail counties of South Hwanghae Province are planting trees of different species according to plans and tending them in a responsible manner.
Officials and members of the primary UAWK organizations in Sariwon City, and Kumchon, Singye and Yonthan counties in North Hwanghae Province have conducted the afforestation work in conformity with their regional characteristics.
Primary UAWK organizations in Jongju City and Tongrim and Phihyon counties in North Phyongan Province installed the insect monitoring posts in mountains to prevent the damage from harmful insects. Members of the union in Jongphyong, Pukchong and Riwon counties in South Hamgyong Province have observed sci-tech requirements in tending trees.
Officials and members of the primary UAWK organizations in Hoeryong City, Onsong County and Orang County of North Hamgyong Province built tree nurseries by themselves and introduced advanced cultivation methods to manure and tend tree saplings in a proper way.
　Those in Rangnang and Sunan districts of Pyongyang Municipality and Tokchon City and Sukchon County of South Phyongan Province have conducted the regular monitoring of surrounding mountains to prevent dangerous factors.
　Agricultural workers in Nampho and Kaesong municipalities and Kangwon and Ryanggang provinces, too, have dynamically conducted the campaign for winning the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest. -0-
