Bahrain welcomes Quad Joint Statement on Restoring Peace and Security in Sudan

Manama, Sep. 14 (BNA):  The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the joint statement issued by the Quad in support of a peaceful solution in the Republic of the Sudan, to uphold the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, while contributing to the promotion of regional peace, security, and stability.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its support and appreciation for the efforts of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America to end the ongoing conflict in Sudan, the statement urged all parties on the parties to observe a humanitarian truce, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, and engage in negotiations in accordance with the "Jeddah Declaration" and relevant international resolutions and covenants, meeting the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
