Kyrgyzstan and Aga Khan Development Network continues fruitful cooperation

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev met Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, who arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on a working visit.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including in the fields of education, healthcare, tourism and social development.

Adylbek Kasymaliev welcomed Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to the Kyrgyz Republic and conveyed words of greetings on behalf of the country's President Sadyr Zhaparov.

He also expressed gratitude for choosing Kyrgyzstan as the venue for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture ceremony.

The head of the Cabinet noted the significant role of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan, especially its contribution to the implementation of important projects in various sectors of the economy and social sphere.

Adylbek Kasymaliev also mentioned the activities of the University of Central Asia (UCA) in Naryn, which, according to him, provides excellent opportunities for the youth of Kyrgyzstan and the entire region to receive a quality education. The positive impact of UCA on the social and economic sphere of the Naryn region, contributing to the development of remote mountainous regions of the country.

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and expressed interest in continuing fruitful cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.

Then a ceremony of cancelled to order of a new postage stamp dedicated to the Aga Khan Award for Architecture took place.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Organization, confirming their readiness to further strengthen and expand partnership in various fields.
