Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg Visits KSrelief Headquarters in Riyadh

   Riyadh, September 15, 2025, SPA -- Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and member of the Board of Directors of the World Scout Foundation’s Endowment Fund Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie visited the headquarters of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Riyadh today. He was received by Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development of KSrelief Dr. Aqeel Al-Ghamdi.
   During the visit, Prince Guillaume toured KSrelief’s permanent exhibition, which highlights the center’s global humanitarian efforts. The exhibition features an interactive map of beneficiary countries, audio-visual presentations of humanitarian stories, a display of volunteer programs, and a section for writing humanitarian messages. Visitors are also able to experience the daily lives of refugees and displaced persons through virtual reality technology.
   Prince Guillaume also visited the offices of KSrelief’s partner organizations and international bodies, where he was briefed on the scope of their joint work. Later, he held a meeting with Dr. Al-Ghamdi to discuss areas of mutual interest in humanitarian and relief affairs.
   A visual presentation outlined KSrelief’s projects and programs, which include more than 3,647 initiatives implemented in 108 countries at a value exceeding $8 billion. These projects span vital sectors such as health, food security, education, and shelter. Specialized initiatives were also highlighted, including the rehabilitation of child soldiers, the "Masam" project to clear landmines and explosive remnants of war from Yemeni lands, the prosthetic limbs project, and the Saudi program to separate conjoined twins.
   The presentation also detailed the center’s volunteer programs, which have delivered 1,030 educational, training, and medical initiatives in 55 countries, benefiting over 2.35 million individuals. These programs included more than 244,000 surgical operations.
   Prince Guillaume praised the Kingdom’s global reputation in humanitarian work through KSrelief and commended its vital role in supporting vulnerable populations and those affected by crises worldwide.
