HM King addresses Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit; HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad represents HM King at summit
Doha, Sep. 15 (BNA): Representing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King, participated today with Their Majesties, Highnesses, and heads of Arab and Islamic states, in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, to discuss the Israeli attack on Qatari territory.
Upon arrival at the summit, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad was received by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa addressed the summit with the following statement:

Your Majesties, Your Excellencies, Your Highnesses,
Ministers, distinguished guests,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
At the outset, we are pleased to express the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation to the State of Qatar for taking the initiative to convene this extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit. We extend our thanks for the warm welcome, generous hospitality, and the excellent preparation and organisation.
Your Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,
The Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the Israeli attack on the dear city of Doha, which constitutes a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
We would like to extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, to his government, and to the people of Qatar, on the loss of the fallen members of the National Security Force. We pray to Almighty God to grant them mercy and paradise and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
This aggression poses a grave threat to regional stability and undermines peace efforts, especially in light of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. The State of Qatar, together with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America, has exerted tireless efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire and secure the release of hostages and detainees.
Our Arab and Islamic nations are called upon to stand in solidarity with the State of Qatar, unite their voices, and intensify efforts to urge the international community to uphold its responsibilities in ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
In this regard, we affirm the Kingdom Bahrain's steadfast position calling for an immediate end to the war, the protection of civilians, prevention of displacement, the prompt release of hostages and detainees, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian cause remains central to resolving the conflict in the Middle East. This necessitates direct negotiations leading to a just settlement and the establishment of an independent, viable Palestinian state alongside Israel, as stipulated in the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002.
In this context, the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the "New York Declaration" for the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution. This resolution represents international recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state. We commend the ongoing efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the French Republic, and we hope that our joint efforts will help reduce tensions, promote peace in the region, and allow all its peoples to live in security, peace, stability, and prosperity.
We are a nation committed to peace, which we pursue as a fundamental and constant approach for the future of our generations. We uphold the values of tolerance, coexistence, and fraternity, and strive to preserve human dignity, freedom, and the right to a decent life.
We pray to Allah the Almighty to protect our nation and grant us wisdom and resolve to defend our rights, achievements, security, stability, and sovereignty.
