Speaker meets Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman

Manama, Sep. 15 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs and Sustainable Development.

Al Musallam commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Russia, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Vladimir Putin, President of Russia. He emphasised parliamentary coordination to enhance bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The meeting discussed bilateral ties and shared parliamentary interests. 

On his part, Deputy Chairman Chernyshov commended the advanced relations between the two countries and wished the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
