Firms with over 20 Workers Required to Secure Collective Housing Licenses

Riyadh, September 17, 2025, SPA -- The National Program for the Development of Collective Housing for Individuals has called on all establishments employing 20 or more workers to obtain a collective housing license through the Balady platform. The program noted that the licensing process is fully electronic and can be completed in a few simple steps.
The program emphasized that securing the license and complying with its regulations plays a vital role in improving the quality of workers’ housing, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life for residents. It also supports greater compliance with municipal requirements.
The program warned that establishments failing to obtain the necessary license will be subject to regulatory violations, as outlined in the group housing control procedures guide. Additionally, non-compliant establishments may face suspension of access to certain government services.
As part of its efforts to regulate and improve group housing standards, the program confirmed that field inspections are being carried out to monitor compliance and ensure that licensing requirements are being met.
