Torobaev visits KG TEX garment factory in Chui region

Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev toured the modern KG TEX garment factory in the Chui region.
The Cabinet of Ministers reported that the factory is one of 134 industrial enterprises scheduled to open this year, and its official opening took place as part of the country's Independence Day celebrations.
The factory has created 300 jobs. It is equipped with modern machinery and offers comfortable working conditions. Its production capacity is up to 100,000 garments per month. Products will be supplied not only to the domestic market but also exported to EAEU countries.
The project was implemented through cooperation between the government, businesses, and partners, including the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Development Fund. The Fund invested $930,000 in the opening of the factory. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately $2 million.
Bakyt Torobaev, after reviewing the factory's operations, noted that the opening of new production facilities is part of the Cabinet of Ministers' initiative to launch 100 industrial enterprises annually.
In 2025, 76 of the planned 134 enterprises have already been commissioned. In the first eight months of this year, the garment industry recorded growth of 15.6% compared to the same period last year. The successful implementation of this project was noted as a result of effective cooperation between the government, business, and international partners.
