Agricultural Science Research Centers under Construction in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, high-tech agricultural science research centers are under construction in different parts of the DPRK.
The command team for building agricultural science research centers finished building the Rice Research Institute and the Agricultural Informatics Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and several institutes under the Academy of Poultry Science and is dynamically pushing ahead with the construction of other research centers.
The builders involved in the construction of the main institute district of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences are pressing ahead with construction projects of general analysis station, institute for scientific and technological development prospect and hostel for scientists at the finishing stage.
The building of the Orang Branch of the Rice Research Institute and the Kyongsong Branch of the Institute of Pomiculture under the Academy of Agricultural Sciences is nearing the completion in North Hamgyong Province.
In South Phyongan Province, officials and builders are displaying a high sense of responsibility in the construction of the provincial institute of agricultural sciences.
South Hwanghae Province is building the Jaeryong Branch of the Maize Research Institute under the Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The Cabinet, the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Finance and other ministries and national agencies are helping the construction of agricultural science research centers.
Meanwhile, the efforts have been directed to procuring research equipment and experimental apparatuses and strengthening the ranks of researchers. -0-
