HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad congratulates HM King, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad on global athletics achievement

Manama, Sep. 21 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s achievement at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. The achievement came through Winfred Yavi’s silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase and Salwa Eid Naser’s bronze medal in the 400m.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad noted that this international success reflects the continuous support Bahraini sport receives from His Majesty the King, which has enabled athletes to excel in international arenas and to build a proud sporting legacy.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad in supporting sports and national teams, highlighting the close follow-up that contributed to this global success.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also commended the role of the Bahrain Athletics Association, led by Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal and its board members, for their efforts in providing the best preparation for the national team in the championship.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad further commended the determination and outstanding performances of Winfred Yavi and Salwa Eid, emphasising that their achievements embody the progress of Bahraini sport and its strong international standing.
