Foreign Minister participates in GCC Ministerial Council coordination meeting

New York, Sep. 22 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the coordination meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting was chaired by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, and Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the GCC countries, and Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The ministers reviewed the topics on the agenda and discussed joint coordination among the GCC states regarding the meetings scheduled to be held with the foreign ministers of a number of friendly countries, as well as the topics scheduled to be discussed during the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, and Ambassador Khalid Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
