Shura Chairman highlights Bahrain’s top ranking in 2024 Gallup Law and Order Index

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, emphasised that Bahrain’s leading position among Arab countries in the 2024 Law and Order Index, issued by Gallup, reflects the reality in the Kingdom and its solid national path led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has laid the foundations of the modern state on the principles of the rule of law and justice, strengthened institutions, and prioritised security and stability above all else.

Al Saleh added that this international achievement embodies the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance the security and service systems, boost the confidence of citizens and residents in state institutions, promote reassurance within society, and ensure the fair and professional application of the law.

He noted that the international recognition of Bahrain’s standing in safety and rule of law confirms the Kingdom’s advanced position in governance indicators. It also places a major responsibility on the legislative authority to continue supporting the legal and regulatory framework that preserves these achievements and strengthens their sustainability through legislation and policies that place people at the centre of development.

The chairman highlighted that the Shura Council believes that a safe and stable environment is the foundation of all sustainable social, economic, and political progress. He underlined the Council’s commitment to promoting citizenship, the rule of law, and partnership between citizens and the state, to safeguard Bahrain’s security, stability, and prosperity.
