Bahrain condemns attack on mosque in Sudan's El Fasher

Manama, Sep. 22 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the attack on a mosque in El Fasher, Republic of Sudan, which resulted in the death and injury of several civilians, describing it as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a swift recovery.
The ministry underscored Bahrain’s firm position on the urgent need to end the conflict in Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means. It emphasised the importance of protecting civilians in line with the Jeddah Declaration and relevant international resolutions.
The ministry also reiterated the Kingdom’s support for efforts aimed at preserving Sudan’s unity, security, and stability, while fulfilling the aspirations of its people for peace and sustainable development.
