HM King receives Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker

Manama, Sep. 22 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Al Safriya Palace.

During the meeting, the Speaker conveyed to HM the King the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, along with his sincere wishes for Bahrain’s continued prosperity and progress.

HM the King requested the Speaker to convey his greetings to HE the Pakistani President, wishing the people of Pakistan further growth and prosperity.

HM King Hamad highlighted the strength of the strong bilateral relations and historical cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan, underscored by the two countries’ mutual commitment to further strengthening them across various sectors. His Majesty noted the importance of such visits in bolstering parliamentary cooperation, exchanging legislative expertise, and enhancing coordination on issues of mutual concern, in service of the Arab and Islamic nations.

HM the King expressed pride in the achievements of Bahrain’s legislative authority across various fields in support of the Kingdom and its people. 

HM King Hamad also commended the joint cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan, reflecting the close Islamic ties uniting the two countries.

The meeting also discussed regional and international developments of common interest.

On his part, the Speaker expressed gratitude to HM the King for the generous hospitality. He lauded His Majesty’s role in strengthening Bahraini-Pakistani relations, which continue to witness steady growth at all levels, serving the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.
