New statistical data collection system to improve reporting

Bishkek, Sept 23, 2025. /Kabar/. On September 22, the National Statistical Committee held an official ceremony to hand over server equipment from Korea, according to the Committee web site.

The event was part of the Strengthening the Statistical Capacity of the Kyrgyz National Statistical Committee Project, implemented jointly with the Statistics Korea with the support of the Official Development Assistance Program - 2024–2028.

National Statistical Committee Chairman Baktybek Kudaibergenov thanked the Korean side for its assistance in developing the digital statistical infrastructure and emphasized the importance of modernizing the technical base.

The implementation of the new statistical data collection system (NARA) and the transfer of server equipment will allow us to transition to an electronic format for most statistical reporting forms, improve data accuracy, and reduce survey time. This is an important step toward high-quality, modern statistics, he noted.

Over the past week, representatives from Statistics Korea held a series of working meetings with staff from the National Statistical Committee's sectoral departments and the Intelligent Data Center, and provided methodological support for the test launch of the NARA system.

The head of the agency emphasized that digital transformation in statistics is impossible without a modern server infrastructure. The new equipment will ensure the secure storage of large volumes of information, the uninterrupted operation of electronic forms, and data protection.
