Industry Ministry Highlights Mining Investment Opportunities to French Companies

Riyadh, September 25, 2025, SPA -- The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources recently organized a virtual seminar for French mining companies to highlight promising investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia’s mining sector, particularly in exploration. The seminar supports the ministry’s efforts to accelerate mineral resource development and attract high-quality investments.
Some 15 French companies participated, reflecting the growing interest of French investors in the Kingdom’s mining potential. The seminar detailed the ministry’s preparations for a multi-round public competition starting September 28, covering 162 new mining sites in Madinah Region. This effort is part of a broader plan to offer over 50,000 square kilometers of mineralized belts by 2025 to expand the investment base, increase exploration spending, and open new opportunities for local and international investors.
The companies were also briefed on the incentives and advanced infrastructure supporting mining projects, spanning transportation, communications, and logistics networks, which significantly reduce project implementation timelines and enhance the competitiveness of Saudi Arabia’s mining investment environment.
This seminar serves as a precursor to the upcoming Saudi-French mining day on October 8, jointly organized by the ministry and the Embassy of the French Republic in the Kingdom. The event aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to accelerate mining exploration, develop the sector, maximize its economic benefits, and establish mining as a third pillar of the national industry.
