Anti-Trafficking in Persons Prosecution Office receives Excellence Award from IAP 30th annual conference and general meeting

Singapore, Sep. 24 (BNA): The Anti-Trafficking in Persons Prosecution Office received the Excellence Award from the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) 30th annual conference and general meeting in Singapore.
The award reflects the Office’s achievements under the leadership of Dr. Ali bin Fadhl Al Buainain, The award was received by Dr. Ali Al Shuwaikh Public Prosecutor, Head of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Prosecution Office.
Nayef Yousif Mahmood, First Attorney General Counselor, attended the event.
The award underscores Bahrain’s progress in strengthening the rule of law and protecting human dignity, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Kingdom’s approach combines a robust legislative framework, active institutions, and integrated field efforts to address the challenge of transnational trafficking.
Dr. Al Shuwaikh said the recognition highlights the success of Bahrain’s specialised investigations, victim protection measures, and institutional cooperation at the national, regional and international levels, which have positioned the Kingdom as a model in this area. He added that the award would provide further momentum to enhance institutional performance, build national expertise and expand global partnerships to sustain these achievements.
Dr. Al Shuwaikh delivered a lecture outlining Bahrain’s anti-trafficking efforts and the ongoing coordination among national entities involved in this work.
