Deputy Prime Minister receives Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly

Manama, Sept. 24 (BNA):  Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Ghanem bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, and Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, were present.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, noting that high-level meetings offer valuable opportunities for dialogue and the exchange of expertise, particularly in legislative domains, which in turn strengthens parliamentary diplomacy and advances joint action programmes.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the contributions of the Pakistani community to Bahrain’s development, noting the respect and esteem in which they are held within an environment that embraces all and upholds values of coexistence and tolerance.

The two sides also reviewed issues of common interest and discussed the latest regional and international developments.

For his part, Sadiq commended the continued progress in Bahrain-Pakistan relations across various domains, wishing Bahrain further prosperity and advancement.
