Interior Minister meets Pakistan National Assembly Speaker

Manama, Sep. 24 (BNA): General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, met with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives; Senior Interior Ministry officials; and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain also attended.

The Interior Minister commended the strong relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, emphasising the importance of such visits in strengthening cooperation. He highlighted the contributions of the Pakistani community to Bahrain’s development and their integration in society.

He also highlighted his recent visit to Pakistan, during which a joint security committee was formed to enhance cooperation in security domains, reflecting both sides’ commitment to developing ties.

The meeting discussed the Interior Ministry’s efforts in maintaining security and means to expand coordination to address security challenges, along with regional developments of shared interest.
