Bahrain delegation meets Head of GCC Mission in Vienna to enhance cooperation on UNCITRAL work

Vienna, Sep. 27 (BNA): Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain and head of the Bahrain delegation to the UNCITRAL Working Groups, met in Vienna with Rashed Abdulrahman Mohamed Almuraikhi, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council Mission, to discuss means of enhancing cooperation among GCC countries in the field of international dispute resolution.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of joint initiatives to support the ongoing work of UNCITRAL Working Group III, with particular focus on dispute settlement in the field of investment. The meeting also underlined the leading role of GCC countries in contributing to the translation of the Working Group’s outcomes and procedural documents into Arabic, thereby strengthening their impact across the region.
