Saudi Arabia Chairs Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers' Second Session

   Riyadh, October 01, 2025, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority Majed Al-Mazyed, chaired the second regular session of the Council of Arab Cybersecurity Ministers, which commenced yesterday in Riyadh. The session was attended by cybersecurity officials from member states of the Arab League.
   Al-Mazyed opened the session with a speech highlighting that the world’s ongoing transformations—spanning geopolitical, economic, developmental, and technological spheres—have placed cybersecurity at the forefront of strategic priorities. This focus aims to safeguard collective Arab security, protect the economies of Arab nations, preserve their vital interests, and secure their national capabilities. The ultimate goal is to establish a secure and reliable Arab cyberspace that fosters development, prosperity, and stability across the region.
   He also underscored the council’s significant achievements during its inaugural year, which have strengthened joint Arab efforts in the cybersecurity domain.
   The council adopted several key decisions, including the approval of the draft Arab cybersecurity strategy, the endorsement of the council’s accession to the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, and the council’s membership in leading international organizations and entities.
