Rayong Machinery Store Engulfed by Fire, Threatens Gas Station

RAYONG, Oct 3 (TNA) - A major fire tore through a machinery and construction tools store in central Rayong early Friday, with emergency services struggling for hours to control the blaze as it spread dangerously close to an adjacent petrol station.
The blaze began around 7:00 AM local time on Sukhumvit Road, rapidly engulfing the shop and its rear warehouse, which stored large volumes of engine oil and merchandise. The fire quickly intensified, escalating the risk to the neighboring petrol station.
About 10 fire engines were deployed, but conventional water proved ineffective against the chemical-fueled flames. Authorities requested foam tenders from the Integrated Refinery & Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) to tackle the spreading blaze.
Reports indicated ongoing explosions from chemical containers within the fire zone.
No injuries have been reported. -819 (TNA)
