Forest Insect Monitoring and Predicting System Established in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The nationwide forest insect monitoring and predicting system developed by scientists in the field of forest science research has been put into operation, making progress in protecting and propagating the forests of the DPRK.
The system is an advanced scientific work system and IT system for regularly observing and predicting the location and state of the growth of forest insects and stamping out the insects in all forests across the country under the unified central command.
The establishment of the nationwide real-time forest insect monitoring and predicting system laid another foundation for turning all mountains of the country into treasure and gold ones with thick woods.
Scientists are working hard to further improve the scientific accuracy and effectiveness of the newly-developed system. -0-
