Bahraini, Omani housing ministers discuss cooperation, share sustainable urban development expertise

Muscat, Oct. 7 (BNA):  Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shueili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Sultanate of Oman, on the sidelines of the Urban Planning, Housing, and Construction Exhibition and Conference in Muscat. 

 

Al Rumaihi commended Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for its efforts in expanding housing services and implementing large-scale housing projects, noting the significant progress achieved in this field.  She congratulated Dr. Al Shueili on the successful organisation of the conference and exhibition, which featured valuable discussions and ideas supporting the development of housing initiatives and programmes.

 

The minister also praised Oman’s housing projects, particularly the Sultan Haitham City project, describing it as a landmark initiative that reflects the ministry’s comprehensive approach towards sustainable urban development in line with Oman Vision 2040.

 

For his part, Dr. Al Shueili welcomed Bahrain’s participation in the conference and exhibition and commended the Kingdom’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for its efforts to develop urban planning policies and provide innovative housing solutions that meet citizens’ aspirations.  He affirmed the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise to advance housing services and projects in accordance with best international practices.
