2 Seas Motorsport claims championship titles in British GT Championship

London, Oct. 8 (BNA):  His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, owner of 2 Seas Racing, expressed his pride in the team’s outstanding achievement at the conclusion of the 2025 British GT Championship, after securing the Overall Drivers’ Title, the Pro-Am Title, and the Teams’ Championship Title within the GT3 category, held at Donington Park in the United Kingdom.

His Highness said, "We are proud to achieve another milestone for the Kingdom of Bahrain in one of Europe’s most prestigious motorsport championships.  This victory demonstrates Bahrain’s ability to compete at the highest international levels of motorsport   not only through participation, but through winning and making an impact in major global racing events.

We will continue to work hard to further elevate Bahrain’s name in international sporting arenas, in line with the strategic vision and noble directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, whose leadership continues to empower Bahraini youth and promote sports development."

His Highness added that this championship title is the result of teamwork, continuous effort, extensive training, and determination from all members of the team   from drivers and engineers to the administrative staff   who continue to give their utmost expertise and commitment to achieve consistent success while competing against the world’s most renowned racing teams.

A historic achievement for the Bahraini team

2 Seas Motorsport achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a double triumph in the season finale at Donington Park. Drivers Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss claimed both the Overall Drivers’ and Pro-Am Titles, while the Bahraini team also captured the Teams’ Championship for the second time in its history.

A thrilling race until the very end

Entering the final round as leaders in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ standings since the opening race of the season, the team faced a challenging and unpredictable finale. The Donington Park race was marked by rapidly changing weather conditions   from heavy rain and strong winds to multiple caution periods keeping the championship fight alive until the final lap.

Despite a time penalty for the #42 Mercedes-AMG GT3 crew during the race, Dawson and Jewiss recovered strongly to finish fourth, securing both the Overall and Pro-Am Drivers’ Championships in what was one of the team’s most successful GT3 seasons to date.

Their teammates Kevin Tse and Maximilian Götz delivered a strong performance in the #18 Bathing Ape Contempo Concept Mercedes-AMG GT3, finishing third and ensuring that 2 Seas Motorsport sealed the Teams’ Title for the 2025 season after a year full of consistent results and podium finishes.

Charles Dawson, Driver from 2 Seas Motorsport (#42) said, "Honestly, this year has exceeded all expectations. We started the season aiming for a few podiums, and now we’re champions! It’s truly a dream debut season in GT3.  I’d like to thank the whole team for their hard work and continued support."

On his part, Kiern Jewiss, Driver from 2 Seas Motorsport (#42), added "What a race! It was incredibly tough driving on slick tyres in wet conditions, but we stayed focused until the end.  Charles has done a brilliant job all season, and the team has been in top form throughout."

Continuing the European campaign

The momentum continues for 2 Seas Motorsport, as Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss immediately return to international competition to contest the final round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, where they will be joined by Nürburgring race-winner Tom Lebbon, further strengthening the team’s efforts on the European stage.
