KAUST Concludes 2025 Times Higher Education World Summit

   Jeddah, October 09, 2025, SPA -- The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) today concluded the Times Higher Education (THE) World Academic Summit 2025, hosted by the university from October 7 to 9 under the theme "Universities as Champions of Sustainable Development."
   The summit brought together around 750 participants, including 105 keynote speakers representing 75 institutions from 28 countries, focusing on the role of universities in driving innovation and economic growth, promoting sustainability, preserving culture, and boosting global collaboration.
   Sessions explored research-based practical solutions to real-world needs, from building sustainable and resilient cities to advancing innovations in health and artificial intelligence. Discussions also addressed the skills students need to shape a sustainable future, as well as the role of universities in developing smart and adaptable urban environments, contributing insights into research on smart cities and urban design that help communities confront the impacts of climate change.
