Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies Holds Symposium on Humanitarian Action and Cooperation with UN OCHA

   Riyadh, October 09, 2025, SPA -- Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies organized a symposium titled “Saudi Arabia and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA): Strengthening Humanitarian Action and Cooperation”, which highlighted the dimensions of humanitarian diplomacy and the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting international relief efforts.
   The symposium was opened by Director General of the Institute Dr. Mushabab bin Ayed Al-Qahtani, who underscored the importance of strengthening international partnerships in the humanitarian field to address global challenges and enhance the efficiency of relief operations in crisis-affected regions.
   Discussions during the symposium focused on the concept of humanitarian diplomacy, key contemporary issues and challenges in the international humanitarian arena, and international humanitarian law. Participants also explored ways to develop the global relief system to ensure a rapid and effective response to disasters and crises.
