Dammam, October 09, 2025, SPA -- On behalf of Governor of Eastern Region Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Eastern Region Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz today inaugurated Mitsubishi Power’s first locally assembled JAC gas turbine at the company’s facility in Dammam.
Prince Saud bin Bandar stressed that this achievement marks an important milestone in the Kingdom’s industrial journey, noting that localizing advanced industries and transferring global expertise to Saudi youth represent key pillars in achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. He added that these efforts boost the Kingdom’s industrial competitiveness and regional and international standing, in line with the leadership’s directives to support the industrial sector and empower national talent.
CEO of Mitsubishi Power Saudi Arabia Adel Al-Juraid noted that this achievement coincides with the 60th anniversary of Mitsubishi Power’s presence in the Kingdom, reflecting the company’s deep commitment to supporting industrial growth, energy security, and a sustainable future. He highlighted the significant progress of the Dammam facility in assembling advanced gas turbines and enhancing localization, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for advanced power generation solutions and a key player in realizing Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
He added that the first M501JAC gas turbine—one of the world’s most efficient and reliable models—will be delivered to the Amiral cogeneration plant in Jubail, with a capacity of 475 megawatts.
